FAQ

How My Quit Program Works?

Your suggested plan is based on your quit strategy, current smoking level, and how your smoking behavior changes over time. You can choose a plan that fits your real situation.

Quit Now

For users who want to stop smoking immediately. The program starts tracking smoke-free progress from today.

Reduce Gradually

For users who want to lower their cigarette intake step by step. The program creates a gradual reduction path based on current smoking level.

Choose a date

For users who want to build readiness before quitting. The program helps create awareness, complete preparation tasks, and get ready for a selected quit date.

Can I switch my plans later?

Yes. You can change your plan in Settings based on your real-life needs. When your plan changes, the app will recalculate your progress, recovery timeline, and daily guidance to match your new quit strategy.

How is my Health Recovery calculated?

For Quit Now, Health Recovery is based on public health information of World Health Organization (WHO) about how the body begins to recover after stopping smoking. The app estimates recovery progress over time from the day your quit program starts.

For Reduce Gradually, Health Recovery shows estimated improvement as your cigarette intake decreases compared with your original smoking level. For example, reducing cigarettes may support better cardiovascular and respiratory function over time. These estimates are directional, not a medical diagnosis.

Once your gradual plan reaches 0 cigarettes, Health Recovery will continue like a Quit Now plan, tracking full recovery progress from the point you become smoke-free.

For Choose a quit date, Health Recovery is not shown yet because this plan is designed to help you get ready before your quit date.

How is my progress counters calculated?

Your counters include:

  • Cigarettes avoided
  • Money saved
  • Life regained

They start when your program begins and are calculated from the information you provide, such as your average cigarettes per day and the cost of one pack.

The app uses an estimated 3 minutes per cigarette to calculate life regained. This is an approximate behavioral estimate, not a medical measurement.

If you log a lapse, the app will automatically adjust your counters by subtracting the cigarettes smoked, related money, and estimated time.

For Choose a quit date, counters are not active yet because the program has not started tracking avoided smoking behavior.

What is a lapse?

A lapse means you smoked again during your quit journey, usually in a small or temporary situation. It does not mean failure. The app treats it as a moment to track, understand, and recover from.

The app helps you stay on track by asking you to check in daily, log smoking symptoms, and review your smoking days vs. clean days in the Lapse screen.

What is the Lapse Limit?

The Lapse Limit is a monitoring system designed to protect the effectiveness of your quit program.

Within a certain lapse range, your recovery program can continue normally even if you temporarily smoke again. However, repeated smoking over time may reduce the effectiveness of the recovery process.

The Lapse Limit helps the app determine when a temporary lapse may be turning into a sustained smoking pattern.

If the limit is reached, your current quit program will reset and restart from Day 1 to create a more stable recovery foundation.

How does the Lapse Limit work?

The system uses your original smoking level from onboarding as a reference.

  • Your daily lapse limit = your original cigarettes per day
  • If smoking continues repeatedly across multiple days within a rolling 7-day period, the program may reset

This system is designed to monitor behavioral consistency rather than a single smoking event.

Why does the limit sometimes show differently in History?

The limit display may change depending on whether you completed your daily check-in.

  • Before check-in: the system continues monitoring based on the full 7-day window
  • After check-in: the limit updates based on your latest logged behavior and current recovery status

This helps keep the lapse tracking more accurate and personalized over time.
